MarketMan pricing in 2026 starts at $249 a month for Starter, $299 a month for Growth and from $449 a month for Enterprise, according to MarketMan's own pricing page. Starter includes only 50 AI invoice scans a month, so most kitchens that want every supplier invoice captured end up on Growth, which is about $3,588 a year for one account before add-ons. If invoice lines in Excel or QuickBooks are the main thing you need, a page-priced invoice tool covers that from $49 a month.

MarketMan plans and prices in 2026

MarketMan publishes three plans. The figures below are taken from its pricing page in October 2026 and are monthly list prices. The page does not show a yearly discount for Starter or Growth.

PlanMonthly priceInvoice scanningOther key features
Starter$24950 AI-powered invoice scans a monthRecipe costing, actual vs theoretical reporting, waste tracking, 1 vendor EDI integration
Growth$299Unlimited invoice scanningEverything in Starter, smart ordering, order by recipe, 2 vendor EDI integrations
EnterpriseFrom $449Unlimited, plus email invoice scanningAdvanced reports, unlimited vendor EDI, read-only API (5,000 calls a month)

These are higher than the numbers many review sites still show. In August 2026 MarketMan raised Starter from $199 to $249 and Growth from $249 to $299, and started listing an Enterprise price instead of "custom". If a comparison article quotes $199, it predates the change.

MarketMan add-on costs

The plan price is not always the full bill. MarketMan lists these extras separately:

  • API access (read-only, 5,000 calls a month) is included in Enterprise. On Starter or Growth it costs $25 a month for 1 to 3 locations, $59 for 4 to 9, $99 for 10 to 30 and $199 for 31 or more.
  • Email invoice scanning is an add-on on Starter and Growth with no published price, and included in Enterprise.
  • Commissary costs $499 a month for a central kitchen serving your own units, or $749 a month if you sell to outside restaurants, caterers or ghost kitchens.

Implementation is described as expert guided, with no fee listed. Ask about it anyway, along with contract length, because onboarding and annual terms are where back office quotes usually differ from the list price.

How much does MarketMan cost per month for one restaurant?

For one restaurant, MarketMan realistically costs $299 a month, or about $3,588 a year, because Growth is the cheapest plan with unlimited invoice scanning. Starter at $249 a month works only if you receive fewer than 50 invoices a month or plan to type the rest in. Add $25 a month if you want API access to pull data into another system.

The 50-scan limit is the detail most owners miss. A small kitchen with a broadliner twice a week, a produce house twice a week, a dairy or bread route and a weekly beverage delivery already receives 25 to 35 invoices a month. Add credit memos, a specialty house and a few cash and carry receipts and Starter runs out before the month does.

MarketMan cost by location count

MarketMan's pricing page does not spell out how plans are billed when you add locations, and restaurant back office software in this category is usually quoted per location. The table below shows the yearly cost if each location carries its own plan, which is the assumption to confirm with sales before you sign.

LocationsStarter yearlyGrowth yearlyEnterprise yearly (from)
1$2,988$3,588$5,388
3$8,964$10,764$16,164
5$14,940$17,940$26,940

If MarketMan quotes your group as one account instead, the numbers drop sharply, which is exactly why the question belongs on your list for the first call.

Is MarketMan worth the price?

MarketMan is worth it if you will actually use inventory counts, recipe costing, actual vs theoretical reporting and ordering, because those features are what the plan price pays for. It is poor value when the only part you use is invoice scanning. In that case you pay $3,000 or more a year per location mainly to get supplier invoice lines into a report.

A quick way to tell which group you are in: look at last month. If nobody counted inventory and nobody updated a recipe card, but someone did type invoices or file them for the bookkeeper, you are buying invoice capture, and that is a much cheaper category. Operators who do count weekly and cost every plate get real value from the suite, and for them the move from Starter to Growth is usually justified by unlimited scanning alone. The MarketMan alternative comparison lines up the options for operators who have reached that conclusion.

A cheaper option if you only need invoice lines

InvoiceExtraction reads supplier invoices and receipts, whether portal PDFs, emailed copies, scans or phone photos, and exports every line with item number, description, pack, quantity, catch weight, unit price and extended price. Lines are checked against the invoice total, and anything that does not add up is flagged rather than guessed. Our restaurant invoice scanner handles broadliners, specialty houses, beverage distributors and cash and carry in one batch.

  • Starter is $49 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly, for up to 500 pages a month on the most accurate model. There is no 50-invoice cap.
  • Plus is $149 a month, or $74 a month billed yearly, and adds bulk upload of 50 files at a time, custom templates, category normalization, QuickBooks export and three seats.
  • Pricing is by pages processed, not by location, so a second store does not double the bill.

Vendor guides cover the layouts you see most, such as the Sysco invoice to Excel converter and the WebstaurantStore invoice converter for supply orders that mix disposables and equipment. If your bookkeeper also handles the owner's card receipts for fuel, meals and small purchases, they can scan receipts straight into QuickBooks and keep supplier invoices here for line level food cost. Plan details are on the pricing page.

Questions to ask MarketMan before you sign

  • Is each plan priced per location, and what does a second or third location cost?
  • On Starter, what happens when we pass 50 invoice scans in a month?
  • What does the email invoice scanning add-on cost on Growth?
  • Is there an implementation or onboarding fee, and what is the minimum contract term?
  • Can we export our full invoice line history to CSV if we leave?

The last question matters. Your invoice lines are your price history, and you want them in a format you own whichever tool you choose.
