Refund Policy

Summary: every payment for InvoiceExtraction is final. A refund is issued only in the three situations listed in section 3. Before paying, you can run a one-time demo on your own documents and compare the extracted fields with the original, and you can cancel a subscription at any time from your account.

1. Payments are final

Each InvoiceExtraction plan is a monthly or annual subscription that gives access to the service within the page limits and features shown on our pricing page. We do not sell credits or charge per document. The fee buys access for a billing period, and that access is granted in full when the period starts, whether you use it or not.

The demo lets you check extraction quality on real invoices before you subscribe, so the content of a paid plan is known in advance. When you no longer want the service, cancelling stops every later renewal.

By subscribing you ask us to start providing the service straight away and you acknowledge that any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period ends once the service has started.

2. Situations that are not refunded

None of the following entitles you to a full or partial refund:

  • You changed your mind or no longer need the service.
  • You did not use the service, or used fewer pages than your plan allows, during a paid period.
  • A renewal was collected after one or more failed payment attempts (section 5).
  • You expected a one-off payment. Every plan renews automatically, as stated on the pricing page, at checkout, in the confirmation email and in your account.
  • You forgot to cancel before the renewal date, or cancelled just after it.
  • You are unhappy with the accuracy of extracted data on a particular document. AI extraction is probabilistic and depends on the source file, which is why the demo is available before you pay.
  • A feature you expected is not described on our pricing page, or works differently from what you assumed.
  • Your file was unreadable, damaged, password protected or otherwise unsuitable for extraction.
  • You chose the wrong plan or billing period.
  • The remainder of a period after cancellation. Access continues to the end of the paid period and is not pro-rated.
  • Use of your account by anyone else, including someone you shared your login with.

3. The three exceptions

A refund is granted only when one of these applies, when the transaction and account records described in section 6 support it, and only up to the affected charge:

  • Duplicate charge. A fault in our billing charged you twice for the same period.
  • Proven unauthorised charge. Your card was used without your permission, you tell us within 14 days of the charge, and our records and those of our payment provider confirm it. We may ask you to confirm that you have reported the card misuse to your card issuer.
  • Complete service failure. A confirmed fault on our side made the service fully unusable for a continuous period, you reported it to us while it was happening, and we could not fix it. Slow processing, partial problems and issues with your own device, browser, network or files do not qualify.

A granted refund is limited to the amount you paid for the affected period, goes back to the original payment method only, and is our whole liability for the matter. One refund does not create a right to another.

4. How to ask for a refund

Email [email protected] from the address on your account within 14 days of the charge, with the date and amount of the payment and which exception in section 3 applies. Requests sent later are not considered. We review requests in the order they arrive and do not reopen declined requests.

Opening a chargeback without contacting us first breaches our Terms of Service and leads to permanent closure of the account.

5. Renewals, failed payments and cancellation

You can cancel at any time in your account settings without contacting us. Cancelling switches off all later renewals immediately, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancelling is not a refund request.

Subscriptions renew automatically. When a new billing period starts, access for the whole period is granted and payment for it is due. If the charge fails, the amount stays due and our payment provider retries it over the following days. These retries are not extra charges. Cancelling after a period has started stops later renewals but does not cancel the payment for the current period, including when it is collected a few days late after failed attempts. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the renewal date shown in your account.

6. What you accept and what we keep on record

When you create an account you accept our Terms of Service, which include this Refund Policy, and our Privacy Policy. Before any payment, checkout shows the plan, price, billing period and automatic renewal, and the same details appear in the confirmation email and in your account.

For each subscription we keep the date and time of purchase, the plan and price shown at checkout, your acceptance of the terms, the emails sent to you and a log of account activity such as sign-ins, uploaded files, extractions and exports, with the technical details recorded for each. Our payment provider keeps its own transaction record, including the card's country of issue and the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure.

Claims of unauthorised charges are assessed against these records. If a chargeback is opened, we provide these records to the card issuer and the account is closed as described in section 4.
