Short answer. Craftable does not publish its prices. Its plans (Bevager for the bar, Foodager for the kitchen, and Director for multi-unit groups) are quoted per location, and third-party software directories list the entry tier from about $99 a month and Director from about $250 a month. That buys a full inventory, ordering, recipe costing and AP platform. If the only part you would use is getting supplier invoices into Excel or QuickBooks line by line, a page-priced extraction tool does that from $49 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly, for every location combined.

Craftable pricing in 2026

Craftable sells on a custom quote. You pay monthly based on the number of locations, and bar and kitchen products are priced separately, so a restaurant with a full bar that wants both Bevager and Foodager is buying two products per location. The figures below are what directories such as Capterra, GetApp and SaaSworthy report. They are not from Craftable, and SaaSworthy notes its listing is unclaimed, so use them as a range to hold your quote against.

Plan as listed by third partiesReported starting priceWho it is aimed at
Basic (Bevager or Foodager)About $99 a monthA single bar or kitchen
DirectorFrom about $250 a monthMulti-unit corporate and enterprise groups, with benchmarking across locations
Analytics and add-onsQuotedLabor and sales reporting, integrations, implementation services

Capterra lists the starting price as $99 per user per month, while Craftable's own positioning is per location with unlimited users, so ask your rep which unit the quote uses. Directories list no free plan and no free trial.

What you get for the money

Craftable started as Bevager, a bar inventory tool, and grew into a hospitality back office. A Craftable account covers inventory counts with real-time depletion from POS sales, ordering, recipe and menu costing, an invoice image vault, GL-coded bills that sync to accounting, and daily sales reports. It integrates with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct and Xero on the accounting side.

For a hotel with six outlets or a restaurant group with a finance team, that is a lot of product for the price. The inventory side is the real reason to buy Craftable. Bar managers in particular like it because pour cost and variance tracking came first in the product's history.

How Craftable handles invoices

Invoices reach Craftable in two ways. You scan them, ideally with a high speed scanner, and upload them to the Image Vault, or you email the images to an address assigned to each store. Craftable's support docs say invoices are then processed by OCR and that the process takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 24 hours. Once processed, line items update item prices and costing, and the bill is coded and pushed to accounting.

That workflow is good inside Craftable. The catch is the same one we see with every suite: the invoice capture is valuable because it feeds Craftable's inventory and recipes. If you do not count inventory in Craftable, you would be paying for the whole platform to get the capture step.

Why buyers look past Craftable for invoice capture

  • They never got to inventory counts. The plan was full adoption, but the team only kept up with invoices. Six months in, the bill is the same and the inventory module is empty.
  • Two products for one restaurant. Kitchen and bar are priced separately, so a full service restaurant pays for both even if the bar program is small.
  • Turnaround. Up to 24 hours to process is fine for month end, slower than an owner who wants this morning's Ben E. Keith or Sysco prices before writing the specials.
  • Bookkeepers with mixed clients. An accountant serving ten restaurants on different systems cannot put each one on Craftable just to read their invoices.

Craftable wins clearly on inventory and bar management. We do not count bottles, track variance or cost recipes, and if you need those, an invoice tool is not a substitute.

What a year costs in each setup

Take a two-location restaurant with a bar that buys from a broadline distributor, a produce house and a beverage distributor, about 160 invoice pages a month in total. On the third-party starting numbers, Bevager plus Foodager at two locations is in the region of $396 a month before implementation, or roughly $4,750 a year, and a real quote can differ in either direction. Extracting those same 160 pages fits inside Starter at $24 a month billed yearly, $288 a year, with room to spare. The difference only makes sense to pay if you will actually run inventory in Craftable.

A faster way to get invoice lines into Excel or QuickBooks

Upload a batch of distributor invoices as PDFs or phone photos and download one Excel or CSV file with a row per product line: item number, description, pack, quantity, catch weight, unit price and extended price, with the invoice number and date repeated on every row. Fuel surcharges, deposits and credits get their own rows, and lines that do not add up to the invoice total are flagged. We have guides for the distributors restaurants use most, including Sysco invoice to Excel, US Foods invoice to Excel and Ben E. Keith invoice to Excel for Texas and Southwest kitchens.

If the books are in QuickBooks, export bills with vendor, date, due date and line amounts filled in. The QuickBooks AP automation page covers bills and approvals, and once the suppliers are paid you can match the bank statement to your books without ticking lines by hand.

Other back office tools we have compared

We have written the same honest comparison for MarginEdge, Restaurant365, MarketMan, WISK, xtraCHEF by Toast and Plate IQ (now Ottimate). The conclusion repeats: the suite is worth it when you use the whole suite.

Is Craftable worth it?

Craftable is worth it for multi-outlet hotels, resorts, stadiums and restaurant groups that will count inventory, cost recipes and track bar variance in one place, and that have someone to run the implementation. For those buyers the per-location price buys real control over the largest cost line in the business.

It is harder to justify for a one or two location operator, or a bookkeeper, whose real problem is getting supplier invoices into a spreadsheet or QuickBooks. Try that part first on a month of your own invoices: upload them, check the line totals against what you paid, and export the file your accountant needs. Plans start at $49 a month, and the pricing page lists higher volume tiers.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Craftable cost per month?

Craftable does not publish prices and quotes each account by location. Third-party directories list a Basic plan from about $99 a month and the Director plan for multi-unit groups from about $250 a month, with bar (Bevager) and kitchen (Foodager) priced separately. Implementation and some add-ons are quoted on top.

Does Craftable have a free trial?

No free trial or free plan is listed on Capterra, GetApp or SaaSworthy. Craftable sells through demos and custom quotes, so you see the product with a rep before signing.

What is the difference between Bevager and Foodager?

Bevager is Craftable's bar product for beverage inventory, pour cost and variance. Foodager is the kitchen product for food inventory, ordering and recipe costing. They share the Craftable platform but are priced separately per location.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Craftable for invoice scanning?

Yes, if invoice capture is all you need. A page-priced extraction tool turns supplier invoices into Excel, CSV or QuickBooks bills from $49 a month for all locations combined. It does not replace Craftable's inventory counts or bar variance tracking.
