Upload the receipts from your Jetro Cash and Carry trips, or phone photos of the register tape, and every item comes back as a spreadsheet row with item code, description, case pack, quantity, price and tax marker. Resale stock and store supplies split cleanly, so shelf pricing, margins and the bookkeeper's month end all start from the same numbers.

The short answer
To convert Jetro receipts to Excel, save the receipt from your Jetro or Restaurant Depot online account, or photograph the paper tape, then upload the files to InvoiceExtraction and export XLSX or CSV. Each item becomes one row with item code, description, case pack, quantity, price and tax marker, and the receipt date, store and total repeat on every row. Plans start at $49 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly, with no per-store fee.
Jetro item codes and UPCs land in a text column with leading zeros intact, so the same case of soda lines up across every trip and matches your shelf price list with a simple lookup.
Pack sizes such as 24/12 oz or 6/#10 are kept in their own column, so cost per can, per bottle or per pound is one formula instead of a calculator session at the counter.
Groceries, drinks and snacks you resell sit apart from bags, cleaning supplies and smallwares you use, which keeps inventory cost and operating expense in the right accounts.
Taxed and exempt lines are flagged, so checking that resale items went through tax exempt is a filter, not a squint at register tape.
Bottle and can deposits, bag fees and pickup charges stay on their own rows and never inflate the unit cost of the product above them.
One combined file for a month of trips, or purchases sent to QuickBooks on the Plus plan with the receipt image attached.
Download the receipt from your online account, ask the member desk for a reprint, or take a flat, well lit photo of the tape before the thermal print fades.
Jetro, Restaurant Depot, Costco and distributor documents can share one batch. Each one is read on its own, without templates.
Lines are added up against the receipt total. A mismatch is usually one faded price, and it is highlighted for you.
Download XLSX or CSV with a row per item, add your markup column once, and reuse the sheet every week.
An independent grocer or bodega owner can easily make two Jetro runs a week for drinks, snacks, canned goods, dairy and paper. The receipt is the only line level record of what each case cost, and the thermal tape fades within months. Converting it the day you shop turns that strip into cost per unit you can mark up and compare.
Jetro and Restaurant Depot are run by the same company, and many owners shop both. The Restaurant Depot receipts to Excel converter uses the same columns, and so does the Costco Business Center receipts converter, so the same item bought at three warehouses compares on one row.
Convert a Jetro receiptUpload the Jetro receipt PDF or a photo of the paper receipt and export XLSX or CSV. The header (store, date, receipt number and member number where printed) is read once and repeated on every row, and each item line is split into item code, description, pack, quantity, price and tax marker. Lines are checked against the receipt total before the file is created, so you download numbers that tie out.
A general PDF to Excel tool copies the page layout instead. On a narrow receipt that puts descriptions, packs and prices in one column and mixes deposits in with products. Here each item is its own row with numbers in number cells, ready for a pivot table or a markup formula.
Start with your online account. Jetro and Restaurant Depot share a membership system, and receipts for warehouse trips and pickup orders are listed in the receipts section of the account where your card is registered. Save the PDFs for the date range you need in one sitting. If a trip is missing, the member services desk at your store can reprint it.
Whatever you end up with, a PDF, a screenshot or a photo of the paper tape, converts here the same way. Photograph paper receipts flat and in good light, ideally the same day, because faded thermal lines are the main source of errors on any receipt.
Jetro is a trade-only cash and carry warehouse, so for in-store shopping you get a register receipt rather than a mailed invoice. For bookkeeping that receipt does the job of a vendor invoice, since it shows the date, every item, the price, the tax and how you paid. Membership is free but limited to businesses, and you show a business license or resale certificate to get a card, which is also why tax-exempt resale lines appear on many receipts.
Most retail buying at Jetro is by the case, and your shelf price is per can, bottle or bag. With pack size in its own column, cost per unit is the line price divided by the count in the pack, and your retail price is that cost plus your markup. These sample rows show the shape of the export.
| Line on the receipt | Item code | Pack | Qty | Price | Tax | Row type |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Soda, 12 oz cans | Text, as printed | 24 | 3 | $41.97 | Exempt | Resale |
| Potato chips, single serve | Text, as printed | 64 | 1 | $32.49 | Exempt | Resale |
| Bottle deposit | n/a | n/a | n/a | $3.60 | n/a | Deposit |
| Trash bags, contractor | Text, as printed | 50 | 1 | $27.99 | Taxed | Supplies |
Independent grocery stores, bodegas, delis and convenience stores that buy resale stock at Jetro and need cost per unit for shelf pricing. Restaurants, pizzerias and caterers that split trips between Jetro, Restaurant Depot and a broadline truck. And bookkeepers who get a shoebox of Jetro tape from a client every month and need it split into inventory, supplies and equipment instead of one lump expense.
Yes. Export a CSV shaped for a QuickBooks import, or use the QuickBooks export on the Plus plan, with vendor, date, receipt number and line amounts filled in and the receipt image attached. Because the trip is already paid, most bookkeepers post it as an expense or inventory purchase against the card or bank account used at the register, with lines split between inventory and supplies. The QuickBooks AP automation page covers the bill side for distributors you pay on terms.
You pay by pages processed, not by receipt, store or location. Starter is $49 a month ($24 a month billed yearly) for up to 500 pages on the most accurate model or 2,500 on the faster one, which covers years of warehouse trips for a single store. Plus is $149 a month ($74 billed yearly) and adds bulk upload of 50 files at a time, custom extraction templates, category normalization, QuickBooks export and three seats. Plan details are on the pricing page, and the restaurant invoice scanner covers the delivered invoices from your other suppliers.
Save the receipt from your online account or photograph the paper copy, upload it here and export XLSX or CSV. Each item becomes a row with item code, description, case pack, quantity, price and tax marker, and the receipt date, store and total repeat on every row.
They are run by the same company and share a membership system, and both are trade-only cash and carry warehouses. Receipts from either store convert here into the same columns, so you can compare prices across both on one sheet.
Yes. The pack size is extracted into its own column next to the line price, so cost per unit is a single formula. Add your markup column once and the sheet gives you shelf prices for every trip.
Usually, as long as the print is still visible in the photo. Lines are added up against the receipt total, and any line that does not add up is flagged so you only check that number.
Yes. Receipts and distributor invoices are read without templates and land in the same columns, so all of your purchasing can be compared in one file.
